After waiting 30 years for a moose permit, Augustus Elliott, Jr. of Presque Isle (on the right, shown here with his son, Augustus Elliott III) earned his Maine Moose Hunters Club patch on September 23, 2024 in the town of Allagash, when he dropped this 750-lb. bull with his .270. The bull was tagged and registered at S.W. Collins, on West Main Street in Fort Kent. Father and son expressed their appreciation to Northern Maine Outfitters for guiding them on this successful hunt.
