David Bragdon of Parsonsfield was fishing early in the 2025 open-water season on Square Pond in Shapleigh when he hooked this 9.57-lb, 28 1/8ths-inch monster brown trout. The fish’s weight was certified by Gregory Cutting at Jordan’s Store in Sebago. David‘s fish easily surpassed the threshold weight needed to qualify for membership in The Maine Sportsman’s “One that Didn’t Get Away” patch club. Congratulations, David!
