Karter Estes

May 27, 2025 | Fowl, Grand Slam 2024,

Karter Estes

Ten-year-old youth hunter Karter Estes of Anson earned his Maine Sportsman Grand Slam in 2024, with the help and encouragement of his family. He shot these two tom turkeys on April 27 in Concord Twp., accompanied bu his father Richard. On October 16 in T7 R14 WELS, as first subpermittee on his cousin Daniel’s moose permit, Karter shot a 400-lb. “spikehorn” bull moose, in the company of his cousin, his grandfather Daryl Partridge, and his uncle Kory Partridge. After that came two deer — a buck and a doe — harvested on the first Youth Day, and a  black bear from the Town of Strong on October 28, which was registered at the White Elephant in that town.
